Cotton versus Cotton belnds Shirt Fabrics

Men’s shirts can be found in lots of different fabrics. Business and dress shirts are mainly made in Cotton. The quality and amount of cotton play an important role in the look, feel and function of a shirt

Below we contrast pure cotton v cotton blends.

Pure Cotton shirts:-

  • Natural fiber
  • Allows the skin to breathe (fact – the body’s largest organ is skin). In the context of the Australian climate this means you will be more comfortable and less likely to perspire
  • Looks nicer (some may even say Suave) in appearance
  • Has a tendency to wrinkle
  • Can be expensive

Blended Shirts:-

  • Wrinkle less
  • Cheaper
  • Not breathable (can cause skin irritations)
  • Shiny in appearance
  • Can be damaged by a hot iron

At the end of the day the choice is yours, however wearing something natural is always beneficial for everyone. It is for me!
